Barstool Sports CEO Dave Portnoy left a four-word review for Lido Restaurant in Hackensack: “I love Bar Pizza.”
The internet celebrity was at the popular Main Street joint for his “One Bite” pizza review series on YouTube. He started the channel as a quest to find the best pizza in Mass., his hometown. He’s since traveled the country giving local spots “one bite” to impress him before he inevitably scarfs several slices down.
“I love it in there,” said Portnoy in the video, standing outside of the old-school restaurant. “It’s straight out of the 1930s. You’ve got the old people sitting around, bar-style. I hope it’s going to be bar pizza — I hope it’s fantastic bar pizza.”
